Trail Run a Success!

good times on saturday morning. cold, warmed up fast. intense fog for a while. we did a good job, good low key event, and no major blunders on our part. most everyone had a smile on their face, and showing people there is more running around than roads is success in itself. i should have the top 3 times and names up later in the week.

Greenport Run Course

here is the run course map for the trail run, it will not mean a whole lot to those unfamiliar with the area, but if anyone wanted to head down and check out the course, the map works if you are running and are looking at it. there are a few side trails, and one area where there is a multi use intersection, we'll have plainly labeled arrows, flagging, and a person screaming at you:)

Greenport Run Coming Along!

putting together a good event, things are coming along. we'll have some food, a great sunny morning(hopefully) and great trails to cruise along on.

advance thanks to KRC members for advise, and supporting the event, lending equipment etc..

had a nice small run at Oom's, trying to deal with a heel issue, re-tooling my running away from heel strike running, much softer on the body to mid/forefoot strike.

Red Apple Run/Upcoming Greenport Musings

had fun today at the red apple trail run, at Samascotts orchards, a great event put on by the Kinderhook Runners Club. my heel is not liking it, and i need to back off the running, deep bruise is my guess, hard to mend when i stand on my feet all day at work. whatever..

if anyone wants to volunteer to help out sept 26th, leave a message here or contact lauren at the address in the side bar, we'll need a few people on course, and other assorted race day logistics.

i learned a bunch running today, and am going to put a fair bit of work into making the CLC trail run a success.
